ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from Iran has arrived in Islamabad to participate in key negotiations with the United States, marking an important step in ongoing diplomatic efforts.
According to a spokesperson for the Foreign Office, the Iranian delegation is being led by Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is also part of the visiting team.
The Foreign Office stated that the delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar upon arrival. Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was also present on the occasion, along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who welcomed the distinguished guests.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also attended the reception, reflecting the significance Pakistan is attaching to the high-level visit and the upcoming talks.
Earlier, Ishaq Dar expressed hope that both sides would move forward in a constructive manner during the negotiations.
