“Iranian President Masoud Pazhsakian praised Pakistan’s support during a speech in parliament, to which Iranian MPs chanted ‘Thank you Pakistan’.”

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf strongly condemned Israel’s cowardly attacks on civilians and called on the Iranian nation to remain vigilant and united against the enemy. During the meeting, the parliamentarians paid tribute to the military commanders, personnel and nuclear scientists who were martyred in Israeli attacks.
It may be recalled that after the Israeli attacks on Iran, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had telephoned Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pazhkian. He said Pakistan stands in full solidarity with Iran in the face of Israel’s unprovoked and unjustified aggression.
Prime Minister Sharif said that the Israeli attack was a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Israeli attack is a complete violation of the UN Charter and international law.
He said Iran had the right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the Government and people of Iran.
Pakistan also raised the issue of Israel’s attack on Iran at the UN Security Council.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Asim Iftikhar said that Iran had the right to self-defence under the UN Charter and the Israeli attack was a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Ambassador Iftikhar said Israeli airstrikes were a serious threat to peace, security and stability and continuous violations of sovereignty by Israel are becoming normal.
