TEHRAN: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for an attack targeting the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to Iranian state-affiliated media, the IRGC said it carried out a missile strike on Netanyahu’s office. Israel confirmed that a strike occurred but stated that no injuries were reported.

Israeli newspaper The Times of Israel reported that the IRGC also claimed to have targeted the headquarters of the Israeli Air Force with missiles.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it used Kheibar missiles in both attacks. In a statement carried by Fars News Agency, the IRGC described Netanyahu as the “criminal prime minister of the Zionist regime” and claimed his office was the intended target. The statement added that there was no confirmed information yet about Netanyahu’s condition.

Separately, Iran claimed it launched missile attacks on six U.S. military bases in the Middle East. According to Iranian sources, American bases in Bahrain, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait were targeted.

Further developments are awaited as tensions continue to escalate in the region.
