ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mujtaba Ali Khamenei has sent a special message to the people of Pakistan alongside his Eid greetings to the Iranian nation.
In his message, Khamenei emphasized the importance of Pakistan to Iran, stating that Tehran desires strong and friendly relations with its neighbor.
Speaking on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Khamenei congratulated all Muslims and also extended greetings to the Iranian people for Nowruz, calling the new Iranian year one of bravery and national unity.
He praised the Iranian military for its achievements, noting that adversaries attempted to spread fear and despair but failed, while the nation successfully faced multiple security challenges.
Regarding Pakistan, he said that Pakistan and other neighboring countries are very important to Iran, and that Iran desires good relations with both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He added that Muslim countries should maintain strong mutual relations, and warned that external forces aim to disrupt relations with neighboring countries, but unity will overcome such threats.
Khamenei also stressed the need for national unity during times of conflict and urged the country to address internal weaknesses to prevent division by adversaries.
