ISLAMABAD: The federal capital has been beautifully decorated in preparation for the celebration of Saudi Arabia’s National Day on Sept 23.
Key buildings and roads across the federal capital are illuminated in green, creating a stunning visual spectacle throughout the city.
Major roads such as Shahrah-e-Dastoor, Srinagar Highway, Quaid-e-Azam Avenue, and Faisal Avenue have been adorned with green lights, while banners featuring images of the Prime Minister, Saudi Monarch, Crown Prince, and Field Marshal have been displayed along prominent streets.
In D-Chowk, hoardings featuring Shahbaz Sharif, King Salman, Mohammed bin Salman, and Field Marshal Asim Munir have also been installed.
The celebrations extended to Karachi’s Press Club Chaurangi, where Saudi Arabia’s National Day was commemorated.
Deputy Consul General of Saudi Arabia, Abdulrahman Jum’ah, expressed his happiness at the enthusiastic celebrations in Pakistan and highlighted the strengthening of ties between the two countries through a defense agreement. He also thanked the Governor of Sindh and his son, Zaid Khan Tesori, for their support.
The event included the playing of the Saudi National Anthem, decorations with electric lights, flags of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and a fireworks display.
The celebrations reflect the strong diplomatic and cultural relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
