Islamabad roads blocked again, mobile phone service off

ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday again blocked the entry and exit points and all my main roads in Islamabad by putting shipping containers and also suspended mobile phone network in the capital.

As usual, the PTI which is in opposition in the federal government and ruling in the KP province has announced to hold a protest demonstration at D Chowk in the red zone of Islamabad.

The PTI has decided to protest at the D Chowk despite the fact that the government and even opposition parties have asked it to postpone the really for a few days because the Shanghai cooperation organisation is holding a summit in Islamabad from 15 to 16 October.

People of Islamabad have become fed up with the repeated closures of roads and markets because the PTI has been trying to protest rallies and public demonstrations for no reason.

The PTI is in power in the province of KP and it’s using the provincial government’s resources including vehicles to take out rallies towards Islamabad. but it’s main leader in KP who is the chief minister of the province hesitates to enter Islamabad at the end of the day and returns to Peshawar.

Sources say that PTI founder Imran Khan has issued direction to Amin Gandapur from Adiala jail that he should take a really from Peshawar and reach the D Chowk in Islamabad at all costs today.

However, the government has closed the motorway between Peshawar and Islamabad and also blocked all roads inside Islamabad from last night.

Colleges and universities as well as all private schools have decided to remain closed because of the poor law and order situation and blockade of roads in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
