Israel claims all Iranian drones shot down, operation complete

Threat neutralized, and there is no longer a need for civilians to remain in shelters,” says IDF spokesperson.

TEL AVIV: The Israeli military has announced that it has successfully intercepted and destroyed all drones launched by Iran in a large-scale retaliatory attack.

The operation to neutralize the threat has now been declared complete.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), over 100 drones were launched by Iran in response to earlier Israeli strikes. The military claims that all incoming threats were intercepted before reaching their targets.

“The threat has been neutralized, and there is no longer a need for civilians to remain in shelters,” said an IDF spokesperson in a televised statement.

Despite the successful defense, Israel temporarily shut down Ben Gurion International Airport as a precautionary measure amid fears of further escalations.

This marks a significant escalation in tensions between the two regional powers, raising concerns about a broader conflict in the Middle East.
