UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan has said that Israel’s recent attacks on Iran are a clear violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.
Speaking at an emergency session of the UN Security Council, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Asim Iftikhar condemned the Israeli strikes and urged the Council to hold Israel accountable. He called for immediate steps to ease tensions and to resolve the conflict through peaceful dialogue.
Ambassador Iftikhar noted that the attacks took place while international agencies were operating inside Iran, making the situation even more serious. He said Pakistan, as a neighboring country, is deeply concerned about the escalation and its impact on regional peace.
He warned that peace efforts should not be allowed to fail because of unilateral military actions.
