MARDAN: Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Israel’s actions serve as a warning signal for the entire Muslim world.
Addressing a gathering in Mardan, he stated that Pakistan, as a country of over 250 million Muslims, holds significant importance on the global stage and should emerge as a leader of the Islamic world. He added that Pakistan upholds traditions of respect and hospitality toward its guests.
Maulana Rehman criticized global powers, saying that economic pressures and inflation imposed on poorer nations must be reversed. He emphasized the need to build national confidence and enhance the country’s dignity and standing.
He further remarked that Israel is an illegitimate state and claimed that its actions against Palestinians have continued for decades, adding that tensions have now extended toward Iran as well.
He reiterated that Israel’s conduct is a serious concern for Muslim countries, expressing confidence that Muslims will ultimately prevail. He also voiced hope that one day Muslims would be able to worship freely in Jerusalem.
The JUI chief added that Pakistan’s Constitution is rooted in Islamic principles and urged adherence to constitutional values, stating that violating one’s oath is not consistent with Islamic Teachings.
