ROME: Italian model and reality TV star Pamela Giannini, 29, was fatally stabbed by her boyfriend, Gian Luca Soncen, 52, after she decided to end their relationship, according to international media reports.
The incident occurred during a heated argument at the couple’s apartment, where Soncen allegedly stabbed Giannini over 24 times. Neighbors alerted authorities after hearing the commotion, but Giannini succumbed to her injuries before police arrived.
Following the attack, Soncen attempted to take his own life by cutting his neck twice but survived and is currently receiving treatment in hospital. Early investigations indicate that the dispute was triggered by Giannini’s decision to break up with him.
Authorities have sealed the apartment, and forensic teams are conducting a detailed investigation. Both individuals had been living together in the flat at the time of the incident.
