In a message posted on X, the embassy advised students to avoid submitting fraudulent documents, warning that such applications could be rejected immediately and may also negatively affect future visa applications.

Students seeking admission to Italian universities are required to complete pre-enrolment through the Universitaly portal. Once the process is verified, the BLS visa application centre contacts the student to arrange a study visa appointment.

The embassy has also warned applicants against booking study visa appointments themselves through the regular Schengen or work visa system.

Italian authorities further cautioned against fraudulent agents selling visa appointments for money, stressing that appointments should never be purchased and applicants should rely only on official channels.

For short-stay Schengen, family reunification and work visa applications, BLS centres operate in Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad. Applicants have been advised to follow the official procedures and report anyone offering visa appointments in exchange for payment.
