Jaffar Express resumes operation on Peshawar-Quetta track

Service was suspended after terrorists attacked train in Bolan area of Balochistan on March 11.

PESHAWAR: Jaffar Express resumed operation and left Peshawar for Quetta after being suspended following the terror attack on it in Bolan area of Balochistan on March 11.

Federal Minister Amir Muqam saw off the passengers from Peshawar. Jaffar Express will come to Peshawar from Quetta on Friday.

Yesterday, Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi had announced that the train which runs two days a week will be operated on a daily basis.

Speaking to the media, Amir Muqam said that those who wanted to stop the development of Balochistan would be disappointed now. He said that the nation is united against terrorism, no one should do politics on terror incidents.

It may be recalled that two weeks ago, terrorists attacked the Jaffar Express in the Bolan area of Balochistan, took all the passengers, including women and children, hostage and shot and martyred 26 people, including 18 soldiers.
