KARACHI: Flight operations at Karachi airport were disrupted on Thursday due to technical and operational reasons, resulting in the cancellation of six outbound flights.
According to airport sources, an Air China flight CA-946 from Karachi to Beijing and an AirAsia X flight D7-109 from Karachi to Kuala Lumpur were cancelled.
Domestic flights were also affected, including AirSial flight PF-123 from Karachi to Islamabad and PF-145 from Karachi to Lahore, both of which could not take off. Additionally, Airblue cancelled its flights PA-206 from Karachi to Islamabad and PA-404 from Karachi to Lahore.
Passengers faced inconvenience due to the sudden cancellations, while airline authorities cited technical and operational challenges as the reason for the disruption.
Airport management stated that efforts are underway to normalize flight operations and facilitate affected passengers as quickly as possible.
