ISLAMABAD: Expressing his views on the occasion of Black Kashmir Day which is celebrated on October 27 every year, Speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Kashmir issue is an incomplete agenda of partition of India and we will continue our struggle till its independence. “We have never forgotten Kashmir and are fighting for its independence all over the world, he added.
On the occasion, the Speaker said that raising the issue of Kashmir on all platforms and becoming the voice of the oppressed Kashmiris was one of the top priorities of the present government. He said that no matter how many conferences have been held in the world, be it the Speakers’ Conference or the Pakistan-Afghanistan Trade and Investment Forum, Pakistan has always made the Kashmir issue one of its top priorities. He demanded the United Nations to strictly implement its resolutions on Kashmir.
The Speaker said that the oppression and cruelty of the Indian government against the innocent Kashmiris has put the peace of the world and the region at stake. He said that the repeal of Articles 370 and 35A from the Constitution of India had deprived the Kashmiri people of their identity and freedom which was a violation of the promises made to Kashmiris at the international level.
Speaker NA said that the repeal of the above article was a reflection of the hateful policies of the Indian government.
Asad Qaiser said that the entire Pakistani nation is united on the Kashmir issue and every child of Pakistan stands with its Kashmiri brothers. He said that Pakistan was fighting the case of Kashmiris in all international and regional forums through parliamentary diplomacy.
Speaker NA said that the Parliament of Pakistan has always stood by the Kashmiri people and has raised the issue of Kashmir in all parliamentary forums. However, he asked the Pakistani nation and media to participate in Black Kashmir Day to show solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers.
He vowed that he would continue to highlight the Kashmir issue on all fronts and would not hesitate to make any effort for the independence of Kashmir.
On the occasion, Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri said that today reminds us of the tragic tragedy when the occupying Indian army forcibly occupied Kashmir. He said that the people of Occupied Kashmir have been suffering from the tyranny and barbarism of India for the last seven decades.
Deputy Speaker urged the United Nations to take note of the ongoing atrocities in Kashmir and ensure strict implementation of the UN resolutions.
