Kashmir turned into world’s largest open prison: Mushaal

Says there is urgent need for raising voice for resolution of Kashmir dispute.

ISLAMABAD: Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into the largest open prison of the world by the Indian rulers, said Mushaal Hussein Mullick.

Mullick, who is wife of incarcerated Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik and special assistant to the caretaker prime minister on women empowerment, was speaking at a function held in Islamabad in connection with World Human Rights Day.

She said accused India of committing genocide in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said there was an urgent need to raise voice for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Mullick said the kind of torture being inflicted on Kashmiris by India was neither witnessed nor heard of in human history. Moreover, rape is being used as a weapon of war not only against women but also against children, she added.

“India’s transnational terrorism has now been expanded to other countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States, where members of the Sikh community are facing the brunt,” she said, adding even minorities living in India were not safe.
