SRINAGAR: The people of occupied Kashmir are observing August 15, the independent day of India, as a black day.
They call to observe the day as a black day was given by APHC. In response to the call, the people of occupied Kashmir boycotted all functions being held in connection with the Independence Day of India today. All markets and business centers in occupied Kashmir are shut and people have decided to remain indoor in protest.
APHC leaders on the occasion called upon the people of occupied Kashmir to boycott the Independence Day of India in order to send a strong message to New Delhi and the world that they reject the occupation of their area by India.
The leaders of the APHC said that India had no legal or constitutional right to observe its independence day in Kashmir which has been occupied by it since over seven decades in violation of the international laws abd the resolutions of the United Nation Security Council.
On the other hand, the Indian government failed to stop people of occupied Kashmir from observing the Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14th.
Amid the deployment of occupation forces, Kashmiri people installed banners and posters inscribed with the slogans of ‘Pakistan zindabad’ and ‘We are Pakistanis’ in different parts of the occupied territory.
