MUZAFFARABAD: Indian occupation forces have committed large scale harassment and torture on the local people in Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the reports, personnel of National Investigation Agency, along with paramilitary forces and police, continued hostile searches and house raids across Srinagar, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Baramulla, Pulwama, Islamabad, Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Udhampur and Kathua districts.
In his Friday sermon at the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, senior Kashmiri leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed concern over torture on the victims and highlight the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK, according to reports reaching here.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq demanded an independent investigation into the latest incident and action against the responsible persons.
Many Kashmiris have been arrested during these operations.
It may be mentioned here that over 0.5 million Indian occupation troops are deployed in the disputed territory who have spread a wave of terror across the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The occupation forces have been involved in illegal detention of people, abduction, rape and extra judicial killings in the occupied area.
