Kazakhstan President Accorded Grand Reception at PM House

ISLAMABAD: A grand reception was held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad in honor of Kazakhstan’s President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, where a Guard of Honour was presented.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the distinguished guest upon his arrival. The two leaders exchanged handshakes and cordial greetings, and the national anthems of both countries were played at the start of the ceremony.

A disciplined contingent of the armed forces presented the Guard of Honour to the Kazakh President. During the event, Prime Minister Sharif introduced members of his cabinet to President Tokayev, who in turn introduced his delegation.

Later, President Tokayev planted a commemorative tree within the Prime Minister’s House premises.

President Tokayev is visiting Pakistan on a two-day official trip at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase yesterday, he was received with a 21-gun salute, and Pakistan Air Force fighter jets escorted him into Pakistani airspace as part of the security protocol.
