According to the report, SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun addressed participants via video link after the referendum and unveiled a proposed map of Khalistan.
He said the organization remained committed to what it described as a peaceful and democratic process through the ballot for the establishment of Khalistan.
Pannun claimed that Sikhs had a legal right to protect their religion and families. He also accused the Indian government of pursuing what he described as a “three-front war” against Punjab, which he said involved drugs, debt and demographic pressures.
According to SFJ, the next phase of the Khalistan referendum is scheduled to take place in Alberta, Canada, on October 18.
Pannun alleged that drug abuse was being used to damage Punjab’s younger generation, while agricultural debt and financial difficulties were pushing Sikh farmers towards suicide.
During the event, Pannun also paid tribute to Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Talwinder Singh Parmar and Lakhbir Singh Rode.
