In a statement, Bukhari said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was facing terrorism while the provincial chief minister was leading a political march. She criticised what she described as a prolonged focus on sit-ins, rallies and long marches in the province.
She said that without peace and employment opportunities, people would be forced to move to other provinces in search of security and livelihoods.
Bukhari claimed that a government unable to protect its own people had no justification for remaining in power. She also criticised Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for leading a march within his own province with a large group of supporters.
She alleged that the use of a government helicopter for making statements against the federation amounted to a violation of a court order, and accused PTI of using government resources for political activities.
The Punjab minister further alleged that the KP government had prioritised political activities over maintaining peace and described the province as being vulnerable to terrorists, drug dealers and smugglers.
Bukhari said the KP government was itself creating circumstances that could lead to constitutional measures being considered in the province.
She stressed that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could not be left at the mercy of armed groups and criminal elements.
