Lahore Marathon Draws Athletes From Across Pakistan

The Lahore Marathon, organized jointly by the Athletics Federation of Pakistan and Allied Bank, featured competitions in three categories with athletes participating from across the country.

In the 10-kilometre men’s category, Muhammad Zain of Kasur secured first place, while Faisalabad’s Muhammad Zohaib finished second and Saim Masih of Faisalabad took third.

In the 10-kilometre women’s race, 38-year-old Farhat Batool won the event after completing the distance in 42 minutes and 50 seconds.

The 21-kilometre half marathon was won by Pakistan Army and Sahiwal athlete Akhtar Ali. Sohail Amir finished second, while Gonish Batool secured first place in the women’s category, completing the distance in 1 hour, 40 minutes and 9 seconds. Mahnoor finished second.

In the 42-kilometre marathon, Israr Muhammad of Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claimed first place with a time of 2 hours, 38 minutes and 10 seconds. Muhammad Ramzan finished second.
