LHC sack Justice Arshed Malik in video scandal case

LAHORE: The administrative committee on video scandal in the leadership of Justice Qasim Khan of Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief has dismissed Justice Arshed Malik the Islamabad Accountability Court Judge from his post upon found him guilty on charges.

Justice Sardar Ahmed Naeem of LHC conducted inquiry against Accountability court judge in video scandal. The committee found the Judge Arshed Malik guilty in the case and submitted the report to administrative committee.

According to a media report, an investigative officer of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Al azizia reference case told the court that during an investigation he watched a video of Arshed Malik with a woman they both doing objectionable churns.

Opposition Leader in National Assembly and President of PMLN Shehbaz Sharif tweeted following the LHC decision that the LHC decision of sacking the Judge establishes that “Nawaz Sharif was unjustly sentenced”. “His (Nawaz Sharif) innocence stands proven today”, he said in a tweet.

Furthermore, the opposition leader said, “as a natural corollary, Mian sb’s sentence ought to be declared null and void”.

Besides that Justice Arshed Malik had disqualified the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Al Azizia Case and sentenced him prison for 11 years.
