According to a spokesperson for the motorway police, traffic has resumed normally on the entire Islamabad-Peshawar section of the M-1.
However, restoration work remains underway on the M-14 Motorway between Hakla and Kundal. Work is also continuing on the loop connecting the M-1 with the Hazara Motorway.
The Islamabad-Peshawar section of the GT Road (N-5) has also been reopened for all types of traffic.
Meanwhile, a large number of containers remain deployed around Islamabad’s Red Zone, according to the report.
