ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has taken another significant step toward technological advancement with the organization of an international exhibition showcasing made-in-Pakistan drones and anti-drone systems at the Pak-China Center in Islamabad.

The exhibition was organized under the auspices of the UAV Federation Pakistan and featured participation from more than 30 Pakistani and Chinese manufacturers, along with local and international technology experts.

A wide range of advanced technologies was displayed, including autonomous surveillance drones, anti-drone jamming systems, and AI-powered robotic devices capable of safely detecting and neutralizing explosive materials.

One of the major highlights of the exhibition was agricultural drones equipped with advanced software, enabling automated crop monitoring, detailed reporting, and precision spraying, offering modern solutions for Pakistan’s farming sector.

Anti-drone systems designed to detect and jam suspicious drone signals also attracted considerable attention from visitors.

Speaking on the occasion, UAV Federation Pakistan Zaheem Ahmed stated that Pakistan is fully prepared for the next phase of technological development and is moving steadily toward complete technological self-sufficiency, particularly in artificial intelligence–based systems.

Aeronautical engineer Sarah Qureshi said true progress cannot be achieved by merely importing technology, stressing that real independence lies in technological autonomy, a direction Pakistan is actively pursuing.

The exhibition also announced upcoming memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for launching Pakistan’s first air taxi service, marking a major breakthrough for the country’s aviation and urban transportation sectors.
