RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed five terrorists in an operation in Bajaur on Monday. During the exchange of gunfire, Major Adil Zaman arom Pakistani Army, was martyred while leading his troops, the ISPR said.
The militants, known for their involvement in various attacks against security forces and civilians, were eliminated in a targeted operation. Along with the terrorists, significant amounts of weapons and ammunition were recovered.
According to a statement from ISPR, these terrorists were involved in multiple acts of terrorism, including attacks against security forces and law enforcement agencies, as well as the killing of innocent civilians. The clearance operation is ongoing in the region to eliminate more Indian-sponsored militants.
Following the success of the operation, security forces have initiated a clearance campaign in the area to root out any remaining threats.
Major Adil Zaman, 36, a resident of Dera Ismail Khan, will be remembered for his bravery and sacrifice in the line of duty.
