Man arrested after stabbing to death four relatives

Police say 38 years old also injured two policemen when they reached the crime scene.

NEW YORK: A 38 years old man was shot dead by police after he killed his children along with two other relations at the house of his in-laws.

Police said that a child alerted them on phone that his cousin was trying to kill his in-laws at Far Rockaway neighborhood of the Queens borough.

When personnel from the nearest police officer reached the spot, the knife-wielding man stabbed and injured two of the officers.

The police then shot the man dead on the spot. The police said that besides killing the four persons, the attacker had stabbed and seriously injured a 60 years old woman.

Police said the deceased, who lived in Bronx borough, had in the past been jailed for domestic violence.
