May 9 accused can be arrested in Lahore: warns Uzma

PTI allowed to hold public gathering and it has to follow terms and conditions of the NOC.

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced that the May 9th accused will be arrested from the venue of the PTI public gathering in Lahore.

Talking to media in Lahore, Punjab government spokesperson Uzma Bukhari said that the PTI has once again exposed its design to spread chaos and mayhem, this time un Lahore, but it would not be allowed to destroy the peace of the city.

She said that Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur should go for holding the public gathering and if a participant falls sick the Punjab government would arrange a helicopter to airlift them.

Ms Bukhari also said that if anyone involved in the May 9 arson attacks on military installations was seen in the public gathering or if the participants tried to create chaos the law would take its course and the culprits will be arrested.

She said that the PTI had been allowed to hold the public gathering without violating the terms and conditions of the NOC and blocking roads or creating inconvenience for the public.
