Migrants can be “shot or gassed”: German far-right politician Luth
BERLIN: Germany’s far-right AfD spokesman Christian Luth has been sacked from the party. Christian Luth alleged have said that migrants can be “shot or gassed.”
According to German newspaper Zeit, he made the statements against immigrants in Germany at a dinner earlier this year with an influencer in Berlin.
When asked if the arrival of more migrants was in the interest of AfD, he allegedly said: “Yes. Because then AfD will be better.”
“Still, we can shoot them all. This is no problem at all. Or, gassing, or whatever you want. It’s the same to me.”
He said “The worse it gets for Germany, the better for the AfD”.
Later, ProSieben a German TV channel aired the comments in a TV documentary.
Describing himself (Luth) as a fascist he had been reportedly dismissed as a spokesman of AfD in April.
According to Deutche Welle (DW) with recent developments, Mr. Luth was also fired from the largest opposition group in the German parliament known as the Bundestag.
Quoted as saying Alexander Gauland co-leader of the AfD’s parliamentary group said “With the aims and policies of the AfD, the comments attributed to Christian Luth are totally unacceptable and incompatible”.
In recent years increasing of xenophobia and racism have been experienced in Germany which fuelled by far-right groups and politicians.
