ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has announced 5,000 fellowships for Palestinian students to study in its universities.
The announcement was made by Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui during the inauguration ceremony of the first Palestine–Pakistan Vice Chancellors Forum held at the COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad.
The fellowships will be awarded through the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), enabling Palestinian students to pursue higher education in various Pakistani institutions.
Dr. Siddiqui stated that initiatives such as BLSO trauma management courses and other technical training programs are part of Pakistan’s sincere efforts to help build human resources in Gaza. He reaffirmed that “Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with Palestine.”
