In a letter to the PMDC president, the minister directed the council to conduct a centre-wise analysis of the number of candidates, marks, pass rates and high scores recorded in the examination.
The PMDC has also been asked to examine any unusual or significant differences in results among examination centres and review attendance sheets, seating plans, centre records and result data.
Mustafa Kamal directed officials to examine invigilation arrangements and available digital records related to the MDCAT. The investigation will also cover allegations of malpractice, unauthorised assistance, impersonation and paper leaks.
The PMDC has been instructed to determine whether any violations of its procedures, technical problems or administrative negligence affected the examination or its results.
The council will also obtain relevant reports and records concerning the preparation of MDCAT results and the conduct of the examination.
The Health Ministry said that if irregularities or corruption are found to have affected the results, those responsible will be identified.
