ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb will present the national Economic Survey on June 9, a day before the federal budget is scheduled to be announced.
According to official details, the government has completed preparations for the upcoming fiscal budget. The National Assembly budget session has been called for June 10 at 5 PM, while the necessary summaries for both the National Assembly and Senate sessions have already been submitted.
Sources confirm that the National Economic Council meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, is expected on June 8. The meeting will review federal and provincial development plans along with setting annual economic targets and development priorities.
Meanwhile, discussions between the government and its key coalition partner over the budget remain ongoing, with reports of differences still unresolved. Party leadership is expected to hold direct talks with top government officials ahead of the final budget announcement.
