WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has claimed that more countries will soon join Abraham Accords.

President Trump said that several countries are preparing to join the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and a number of Arab states during his administration.

Speaking to the media in Maryland, Trump claimed that letters regarding new tariffs would be sent today to 10 to 12 countries, with rates ranging from 10% to 70%, though he added that key trade partners would be granted reasonable exemptions.

On his recent conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump expressed strong disappointment, saying it does not seem Putin wants to stop the war, an apparent reference to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

In a separate speech at the 250th Independence Day event in Iowa, Trump claimed the U.S. had “completely destroyed” Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying, “We did great work in Iran and hit every target successfully. Now Iran wants to negotiate with us.”

Trump also boasted about U.S. military strength, saying, “We have the best military and aircraft in the world. Our new Golden Dome missile shield will protect us from any Iranian retaliation.”

He hinted at changing the law to serve another presidential term, saying he would be president for four more years. “Our government has been in office 165 days, and America is more successful than ever. People have said I’ll be a better president than George Washington and Abraham Lincoln,” he claimed.

Trump further stated that his administration is deporting criminals and drug traffickers, while decisions on the deportation of undocumented agricultural workers would be left to farmers themselves.
