More officials than athletes to attend Asian games from Pakistan

Squad to take part in Asian winter games in China from February 7 to 14.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has announced a six-member squad to take part in the winter Asian games to be held in China next month. 

Surprisingly, however, the government has included four officials and just two athletes in the squad that will live for China to take part in the games from February 7 till February 14.

According to the list Muhammad Karim will represent Pakistan in Alpine scatting while Mohammed Shabir husband selected for Cross country event in the games.

According to Pakistan Olympic Association, winter sports association secretary wing commander Ashar Jamil has been selected as the chief of the mission. Moreover, Muhammad Abbas will be the coach and Asma Akram will accompany the squad as the safeguard official.

The association also said that Rabia Nasir, an official at the Pakistan embassy in Beijing, will be the athlete attache during the games.
