The number of active cases of corona virus has risen to more than 46,000 across the country, with another 56 deaths in a single day. The death toll from the epidemic in Pakistan has risen to 8,603.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 40,202 corona tests were performed across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of corona patients in Pakistan to 429,280. At present, the number of active corona patients across the country is 46,376. Of these, 2,575 are in critical condition.
So far, according to official figures, there are 189,687 in Sindh, 125,250 in Punjab, 50,762 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 33,695 in Islamabad, 17,604 in Balochistan and 7,517 in Azad Kashmir. And in Gilgit-Baltistan, 4,765 people have been diagnosed with corona.
