ISLAMABAD: In the wake of Al-Quds Day rallies and to prevent any march toward the Diplomatic Enclave, the capital administration has blocked all roads leading to the high-security Red Zone in Islamabad.
The administration last night also announced to close all educational institutions in the capital on Friday. The police started blocking roads to Red Zone from Zero Point at midnight.
According to Islamabad Traffic Police, only Margalla Road has been kept open for entry into the Red Zone, while all other access points have been sealed. Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternative routes due to the traffic restrictions.
