PESHAWAR: The family of a Christian youth, who was murdered about three weeks ago, has demanded that the killers should be arrested to provide justice to to them.
Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club, the family and relatives of Dawood Rafael called upon the authorities concerned to direct the police to trace and arrest the culprits and bring them to justice.
They said that Dawood Rafael was murdered 18 days ago, but the killers are yet to be arrested.
Dawood’s mother said, “I had two daughters and one son. My son was my only support, who was brutally murdered. I demand justice for my son.”
Dawood’s sisters asked what was their brother’s fault that he was killed so brutally? “We demand that the police arrest and punish his killers.”
They said that despite the passage of 18 days since the murder, the police had failed to arrest the killers. They expressed disappointment and frustration at the lack of progress in the case.
The family demanded justice from the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the chief justice of Peshawar High Court, and the IGP.
