NEW YORK: Muslim Volunteers for New York (MV4NY) launched a powerful community-driven environmental initiative focused on the beautification of Ruppert Park in Manhattan.
The event drew significant participation from Pakistani American families, students, and local residents, all united in their commitment to environmental stewardship and civic engagement.
Consul General of Pakistan in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai joined volunteers in their cleanup and revitalization efforts. His presence underscored the importance of grassroots action and the strong ties between the Pakistani American community and the city they call home.
“I am very proud of my community for contributing meaningfully to the city’s progress and environmental well-being,” said Consul General Atozai. “Their efforts reflect a strong sense of civic duty and a desire to give back to the city we call home.”
This initiative not only helped enhance the natural beauty of Ruppert Park but also reinforced the vital role of immigrant communities in shaping a cleaner, greener, and more inclusive New York City.
