NAB’s plea for physical custody of PTI chief rejected

Accountability court judge conduct hearing in Al-Qadir Rrust corrsuption case inside Adiala jail.

RAWALPINDI: The accountability court of Islamabad here on Tuesday evening rejected a plea form NAB seeking physical custody of former prime minister Imran Khan for probing him in the 190 million-pound Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.

The judge, Muhammad Bashir, conducted hearing of the case in the Adiala jail during which the NAB prosecutors and Imran’s lawyers appeared. NAB requested for the physical custody of Imran and the judge reserved his ruling and later announced it, rejecting the plea. The judge said that the investigating team of NAB can probe Imran inside the jail.
