ISLAMABAD: The director general of National Database and Registration Authority has been sacked for holding a fake degree.
The DG, Zulfiqar Ahmad, was shown the door after allegations of possessing the fake degree were proved. A case had also been decided against him in the Islamabad High Court.
According to an investigation, the person who signed the MBA degree of Zulfiqar Ahmad at a university in America was not the president of the university as shown in the degree.
Moreover, the name of the college at the time of awarding him a BA degree was not the same as mentioned in the degree.
On the request of NADRA, the Higher Education Commission carried out an investigation and found out the allegations true.
According to NADRA, Zulfiqar Ahmad could not give a satisfactory reply to a show cause notice after which he was sacked.
