GLASGOW: A new office of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has been established at the Pakistan Consulate in Glasgow, providing much-needed identification and documentation services to the Pakistani community across Scotland.

The office was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Consul General in Glasgow Rana Samar Javed, following sustained efforts to facilitate easier access to NADRA services for overseas Pakistanis.

Previously, a NADRA team traveled from Bradford, England, to Glasgow only once a month, a schedule considered insufficient to meet the needs of the growing Pakistani community in Scotland.

As a result, many residents faced delays and difficulties in obtaining identity cards and other official documents.

With the establishment of the permanent facility at the Consulate General of Pakistan, Glasgow, services such as issuance and renewal of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and other related documentation will now be available locally.

Community leaders welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the Consul General’s dedicated efforts, noting that the move will significantly ease administrative challenges for Pakistanis living throughout Scotland.
