ISLAMABAD: The birthday of holy Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is being celebrated today with a national holiday and special prayers and Eid Miladun Nabi processions in different parts of the country.
A large number of people are taking part in the processions in different cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta and Peshawar.
Government and private buildings as well as houses gave been decorated with colorful lighting and buntings on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi.
People prepare special food, particularly desserts and distribute among neighbours and needed people.
In his message on Eid Miladun Nabi, President Dr Arif Alvi felicitated the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
The president said the arrival of Prophet (SAWW) was the greatest and the most blessed event in history.
He said the prophet’s teachings are universal and undying source of guidance for the mankind and present solutions to uncountable challenges being faced today and to be faced till the doomsday.
The President called for letting down all the forces that were keen to destroy the unity in Pakistan.
President Alvi said the success of the individuals well ad the nation was linked with following the teachings of holy Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
