WASHINGTON: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Washington DC on a weeklong visit to the United States of America.
According to sources in the PML-N here, Mr Sharif will stay in Washington DC for two days and will proceed to New York. The sources said that the party chief during his stay in the USA would meet PML-N workers besides his other engagements.
After concluding the weeklong USA visit, Nawaz Sharif will leave for London where his daughter Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, will join him. The two then embark on a visit to different countries of Europe.
Nawaz Sharif left Pakistan a few days ago. He planned his visit earlier but gad to stay in Pakistan till the passage of the 26th constitutional amendment from parliament.
