MUZAFFARABAD: A major power breakdown has affected several areas of Neelum Valley after a fault occurred in the 132 kV transmission line at Athmuqam, sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The outage has left many parts of the valley without electricity for several hours, disrupting daily life and impacting mobile internet services across the region.
According to officials, the fault developed after the transmission line from Jagran Power House to the National Grid was damaged. Repair teams from WAPDA are currently working on the restoration.
Residents have expressed concern over frequent power outages in the valley, saying that prolonged disruptions not only affect households but also create difficulties for businesses, students, and tourists visiting the scenic region.
An Executive Engineer (XEN) said that efforts are underway to fix the transmission line, and full restoration of electricity is expected by evening.
