14th Inter-School and Collegiate Weightlifting Championship from Nov 4

LAHORE: The 14th Inter-School and Collegiate Boys and Girls Weightlifting Championship will be held in Lahore on November 4 and 5, 2026, with young athletes competing in separate boys’ and girls’ events.

According to Aqeel Javed Butt, secretary of the Punjab Weightlifting Association and organising secretary of the championship, the two-day event will take place at the Elite Training Hall, Punjab Stadium, Nishtar Park.

The championship will be organised under the auspices of the Punjab Olympic Association, with support from the Punjab Weightlifting Association.

School-level competitions are open to boys and girls aged up to 16, while the collegiate category is for participants aged up to 18.

The boys’ events will begin at 11am on Wednesday, November 4, while the girls’ competitions will start at 11am on Thursday, November 5.

Weigh-ins for both days will be held from 9am to 10am, organisers said.
