The Ministry of Energy stated that by keeping petrol and diesel prices unchanged, the government will provide a subsidy of Rs 23 billion, covering the period from March 14 to March 20, 2026. The per-liter subsidies are:

Petrol: Rs 49.63 per liter

The subsidy payments, known as price differential claims, will be disbursed to oil marketing companies and verified by OGRA (Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority).
