According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the incident took place a few days ago in international waters of the Persian Gulf when the LNG vessel was en route to Karachi.
The attack reportedly caused a minor fire on board the vessel. However, all 25 crew members escaped unharmed, and the ship subsequently returned safely to Qatar.
The Foreign Office confirmed that Pakistani authorities are in contact with the concerned parties to obtain further details about the incident.
The vessel was carrying LNG intended for Pakistan, raising concerns over the potential impact of maritime security incidents on the country's energy supply chain.
Commenting on the broader regional situation, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that Israel's expansionist ambitions were a major source of ongoing instability in the region.
The incident highlights growing security concerns for commercial shipping in the Persian Gulf, a strategically important maritime route for global energy transportation.
