According to officials, authorities have requested names of such officers along with their parents’ details, national identity card numbers, service groups, ex-cadre status, current departments, and present postings.

Sources added that information regarding officers’ current grades and the date on which they acquired citizenship of another country is also being collected.

The data is being compiled to be presented before the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet, which has sought comprehensive details regarding dual nationality among government officers.

Officials said the move is part of efforts to review and assess the status of dual-nationality holders within the civil service.
