According to NCCIA officials, agents at the call centre allegedly posed as representatives of foreign banks and obtained confidential information of foreign citizens. The suspects allegedly used the stolen data to unlawfully transfer money from victims’ bank cards into accounts controlled by them.
During the raid, investigators seized a large number of mobile phones, laptops, digital devices, sensitive data and bank cards from the premises.
Officials said further investigation was underway to identify and trace other individuals allegedly involved in the international fraud network.
