According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, helping individuals who violate residency or labour regulations is a serious offence that can result in strict legal penalties.

The ministry said those who transport violators from one location to another, employ them, provide them with accommodation or offer any form of assistance could face a fine of up to 100,000 riyals and a prison sentence of up to six months.

According to Arab media reports, foreign nationals found guilty of such offences may also be deported from Saudi Arabia after completing their prison sentences.

The Ministry of Interior has urged the public to report violations of residency, labour and border security regulations to the relevant authorities to help curb illegal activities.

Residents can report violations in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province by calling 911. In all other regions of the Kingdom, reports can be made through the emergency number 999.

The ministry reiterated that anyone found sheltering, employing or assisting individuals who violate residency and labour laws, including facilitating their movement, will face legal action.
