The Saudi Foreign Ministry said Houthi attacks had injured 73 civilians, including women and children. It also expressed concern over attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the growing risks facing maritime navigation in the strategic waterway.
Saudi authorities said the kingdom would not tolerate any aggression against its territory or national capabilities, stressing that it has the right to take measures to defend its sovereignty and protect its national assets.
The ministry said all necessary steps would be taken to ensure the safety and security of civilians. It warned that continued Houthi attacks against innocent people and civilian facilities would have serious consequences.
Saudi Arabia also called on the international community to fulfil its responsibilities and ensure implementation of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The warning comes amid heightened regional tensions and growing concerns over attacks on shipping in the Red Sea, a key route for international trade.
